The ISWI 2015 started 29th May with the arrival of the participants. Therefore a part of the canteen-building at TU Ilmenau was transformed into an Infopoint and Check-in.
This is always one of the busiest days of ISWI, but also a very interesting one, because the participants get to know Ilmenau and the organization team their participants.
In the morning participants slowly arrived and checked in. During the day more and more people arrived in Ilmenau with a majority during the late evening. This resulted in a number of 230 participants for the first day! The country with the highest number of participants (identified by nationality) at 10.00 p.m. on the first day is Russia (19), followed by Ukraine (11) and Belarus (11). But we also have participants from countries like Bahrain, the Netherlands, Estonia, Honduras, Nepal and many more!
